Richmond Highland Remodel

It was the purchase, complete remodel and resale of two properties in Kenmore, Washington that inspired me to pursue a career as a professional real estate advisor and licensed broker. In late 2014, a long-time business partner and I collaborated on a similar project in the Shoreline area. We purchased a home that was in foreclosure, making a substantial commitment to the restoration of this circa 1954 property. We planned, budgeted for, and selected an incredible team of talented contractors to work with us on this project. We encountered many interesting challenges along the way – gutting and modernizing the kitchen, adding an additional full bath to the daylight basement, and safely decommissioning a nearly 30-year old oil tank (originally used to heat the home). In the early part of 2015, with an approximately 75-day project life-cycle, we staged, photographed and marketed this home for sale. A full-price offer was received in about four days, and the home immediately went into contract with its new owners. These are the invaluable experiences that truly educate me as a property investor, and as a home-seller in an ever-changing market. The photo gallery below captures both the historical and contemporary beauty of this nearly 2,000 SQFT Richmond Highlands remodel.
